1.) The captain of a big ship was telling this interesting story: "Once I saw two marines standing on the opposite sides of the ship. One was looking to the west and the other one to the east. And they saw each other very well."
How can that be possible?
answer: (please highlight) Because they were standing at the opposite ends of the ship , and were looking at each other. The one on the west side of the ship was looking east, so he saw the other person, who was on the east side of the ship, and was looking at west.
2.)
Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29.
Where is the remaining dollar?
anwser: (please highlight) This is a nice nonsense. It does not make sense to add the $27 to teh $2 since the bellboy kept that (the $2). The visitors pay $30. When the manager finds out it's only $25 he gives $5 to the bellboy, the bellboy gives $3 back to the viistors. Which means that the visitors paid $27. The manager has $25, and the bellboy has $2 from what they have paid.
3.) Two girls are born to the same mother, on the same day, at the same time, in the same year and yet they're not twins. How can this be?
anwser: (please highlight) They are two girls from a triplet
4.) I am looking at somebody's photo. Who is it I am looking at, if I don't have any brothers or sisters and the father of that man on the photo is the son of my father?
anwser: (please highlight) I'm lookin at my son. Because, the father of the man on the photo is the son of my father, the father of the man in the photo can only be me. And if I'm the father of the person on the photo, then the photo can olny be of my son. (if it would be person, instead of man, it could be my daughter too)
5.) What occurs once in every minute, twice in every moment, yet never in a thousand years?
